Tuition Rates 24-25

Our school is truly a parish venture. Without the generous support of the people of Holy Child Parish, the quality education we offer would not be possible. Twenty-two percent of the operating income for the school comes from parishioners, most of whom do not have children enrolled. As with any parochial educational venture, the parents of the children make the great sacrifice. The tuition, fees, and parental fund-raising represent seventy percent of the operating budget. Our tuition rates are competitive with other Catholic and private schools within Albuquerque.

2024-2025 Registration Fees and Tuition

Preschool

Registration Fee: $200.00 is due on registration day and is non-refundable.

• 3-year old Preschool Program (2 days a week): $210.00/month (August-May),  $2,100/year

• 4-year old Preschool Program (3 days a week): $263.00/month (August-May), $2,630/year

K-8 (per child)

Registration Fee (per child): $375 is due on registration day and is non-refundable.
*Early Bird Special for K-8 $350.00 until January 29

• 1st Child: $5,400.00

• 2nd Child: $4,860.00 ($10,260.00 total) 10% discount

• 3rd Child: 4,590.00 ($14,850.00 total) 15% discount

A 3% discount will be applied when K-8 tuition is paid in full on or before July 12th, 2024. The numbers below reflect the discount​

Frequently Asked Questions

1.  How long does it take to get from Albuquerque to HCCS during the morning commute?

Good question! Obviously it depends on where you're coming from, but here are some basic estimates. It only takes 20-25 minutes from the Big I. It takes about 8 minutes from I-40 and Tramway. To find your exact drive time from home to school, try putting your address into Google Maps.

2.  How are snow days handled?  

HCCS loosely follows the APS mountain schools, but in any case parents receive timely emails on what the school's weather schedule will be for the day. There is also an alert available through My Students Progress that can reach cell phones or emails. Delays and cancellations are also posted on local news channels.

3.  I can't pick my child up from school until after work. Is there an aftercare program? 

Yes, there is an aftercare program since many of our families have a busy work/life schedule! If you are interested, please contact the school office and refer to the student handbook for more information. 

4.  Are there tuition discounts for multiple students?  

Yes! See the discounted price per additional student in the rate table which can be found in the "Tuition" section at the top of this page. 

5.  Are scholarships available?  

Yes, there is tuition assistance available. See the section above titled "Tuition Assistance" for more information.

6.  Why is a classical curriculum desirable?

To have a great mind and soul is truly a lofty goal and is the true end of a classical education. Fortunately, a well rounded education is also often reflected in test scores. While test scores are clearly not the end goal of education at HCCS, data shows that strong test results are a side benefit of the classical education offered at the school. 

7.  Do you have organized sports? 

We participate in the Albuquerque Parochial Independent Athletic League. 

8.  How often do students attend Mass?  

Good question! Education and grace both build on nature, which means it's important to keep a child's age into account when structuring their day and their learning. Below is a basic layout of our Mass schedule for students:

• Pre-K students attend Mass only on certain feast days or days of special significance to the school community. 

• Students in grades K-2 attend Mass on Mondays and Thursdays, along with the school's community Rosary on Fridays.

• Students in grades 3-8 attend Mass Monday through Thursday, along with the school's community Rosary on Fridays.

Students love it when their parents, other family members, and friends stay for Mass or the Rosary. Please feel free to join us!

9.  Are non-Catholic students and families welcome? 

Absolutely!  Anyone who wants his or her child to pursue the good, the true, and the beautiful is welcome.  While that pursuit takes place within a thoroughly Catholic context, HCCS has had a number of non-Catholic families over the years. They've both benefited from the school and contributed their own unique gifts to our school community.
